Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer
Steve Hagood, senior vice president and chief information officer (CIO) joined Ingersoll Rand in January 2013. In his current role, Steve leads the company’s global information technology organization and is responsible for the company’s IT strategies and execution, business alignment of enterprise-wide technologies, and operational service delivery and support of IT solutions. The Charlotte Business Journal awarded Steve the prestigious 2014 ‘CIO of the Year’ award in recognition of his significant contributions to Ingersoll Rand.
Prior to joining Ingersoll Rand, Steve worked for the Goodrich Corporation for 19 years and served as the company’s vice president and CIO from 2003 through 2012. With over 30 years of experience, he has held multiple executive and financial leadership roles in the aerospace and defense, manufacturing and service industries.
Steve has served previously as the Board Chair of Apparo, a Charlotte-based nonprofit organization, as an Executive Board member of the Charlotte Mecklenburg County Council of the Boy Scouts of America, and as a member of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Technology Advisory Board and Apparo’s CIO Council.
Steve currently serves as chair of the Charlotte Chamber’s IT Summit, co-chair of the Charlotte CIO Executive Summit and a member of the Board of Apparo. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Texas at Austin and is a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
