David Hamlin has worked for the Engineering and Technology team at Trane Residential Solutions in Tyler, Texas since 2005. A native of Tyler and a Commander in the US Navy Reserve, David served 7 years on active duty and continues to serve with over 10 years as a reservist. His active duty stations included USS John Young (DD 973) and USS Constellation (CV 64), both in San Diego, CA and the Joint Information Operations Warfare Command at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.
David has been promoted several times since joining Trane and is currently the Manager of Component Engineering. In this role, he leads a global team of 14 engineers responsible for qualifying new components for use in Trane residential HVAC products with emphasis on efficiency, reliability and quality, while providing marketplace differentiation through innovation. “Trane has a strong reputation with our customers for reliability and quality. The job of my team is to provide innovative component strategy through high engineering standards and key supplier partnerships to ensure our customers get the best performance with superior value, while delivering business results for our shareholders”.
