MONTERREY, MEXICO (INGERSOLL RAND NEWS SERVICE) -- Climate Control Technologies employees from the Monterrey plant recently participated in the Mexican Red Cross' "Save One Life, Donate One Minute" campaign. The purpose of the campaign is to recruit volunteers to support the work of the Red Cross in the community. Interested workers also can sign up to regularly donate a fixed amount of money to the Red Cross via payroll deductions.
In July 2009, 139 new volunteers registered to help this cause, thus increasing overall participation by 69 percent.
"You never know when you will need this service, and I always like to help these causes, not only for my own sake, but also for others who have need of it," said Mario Loera, a production engineer from the Sheet Metal area.
"Climate Control Technologies' Monterrey plant is one of the companies that gives us a great sense of satisfaction, since year after year they open their doors to us in order to participate in our fund procurement program," said Ana Ibarra, a representative of the Mexican Red Cross. "The people who work at this plant are altruistic, have a sense of awareness and are committed to helping meet the needs of the most vulnerable members of our society." |
