9/29/2009

BANGALORE, INDIA (INGERSOLL RAND NEWS SERVICE) -- Ingersoll Rand India reinforced its commitment to creating and sustaining safe, comfortable and efficient environments when it recently inaugurated a test lab at its Bangalore Campus. On hand to participate in the festivities were Bill Gauld, senior vice president – Enterprise Services; Richard DeVaughn, vice president – Engineering and Technology; and Karen Leggio, vice president – Global Supply Chain.

The 15,000-square-foot lab is equipped to accommodate the testing of products from all sectors across the company.

The lab's ability to test multiple product lines and technologies will accelerate global product development, as well as assist in localizing and developing products to sustain dramatic growth in India.

Also included in the lab are tear-down facilities and an innovation center, which will help fulfill the "$0.5B by 2012" vision for India by creating product and solution concepts that are important to customers, company and society.
