Trane Clarksville Employees Raise $10,000 for Alzheimer’s Association
10/22/2009

CLARKSVILLE, TN (INGERSOLL RAND NEWS SERVICE) -- A team of employees from the Trane commercial facility in Clarksville, TN, was recognized at the local Alzheimer’s Memory Walk for being the Highest Fundraising Team in the community. The event raised $45,000 for the association, and the Trane team collected over $10,000 of that total.

Earlier this year, Clarksville employee Mary Haynes, with the help of employees Charles Kentner, Pete Stanton and retiree Roger Gardner, coordinated a golf scramble that raised $7,429 for the Alzheimer’s Association. Over 75 local businesses helped sponsor the event, which was held on May 30 at Eastland Greens, by donating money and prizes.

The balance of the $10,000 was collected by Haynes and the other walkers who turned out to represent the Trane team at the Memory Walk on Saturday, October 3. Haynes began raising funds for the Alzheimer’s Association several years ago when her mother, Lottie Frey, was diagnosed with the disease.
