We Are Ingersoll Rand Employee Video Contest

4/26/2011

Marcia Avedon, senior vice president, human resources and communications, announced the winner in the first-ever Ingersoll Rand employee video contest. The We Are Ingersoll Rand: Inspiring Progress for a Better World Video Contest challenged employees to create a 1 to 2-minute video demonstrating how individuals, a colleague or group of colleagues, or an entire department inspire progress for a better world at Ingersoll Rand. Employees from around the world utilized their creativity to tell their story. More than 60 video submissions were received from 30 locations, including Columbus, Ohio; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Galway, Ireland; New Delhi, India; and many more locations. Several hundred employees contributed to the video entries and more than 3,000 more voted to select the winner among five finalists.

The winning video, This is Us comes from the Trane facility in Lexington, Kentucky. Twenty-one  employees appeared in the video, but many more were involved. A special acknowledgment of John Kwiecinski for the videography and Dan Parker who wrote the heartfelt lyrics and catchy music.

The Ingersoll Rand Foundation will provide a $1,000 grant to charitable organization of the employee winners’ choice in the upcoming weeks.
