The Healthy Giving Series hosted its 3rd Annual Keep your Resolution 5k walk/run on March 24. This 5k is managed entirely by employees and open to Ingersoll Rand employees and family members. A donation is made via a grant through the Ingersoll Rand Charitable Giving Foundation to the Ada Jenkins Center for each participant to cross the finish line.
“One of the many reasons Ingersoll Rand is a great place to work is because it supports events like the Keep Your Resolution 5k walk/run on campus and fosters an environment of teamwork for our employees to focus on health and fitness while also promoting giving back to the local community,” said Melisa Mohn, global real estate strategy and planning leader champion behind the Healthy Giving Series.
This year, over 320 employees and family members attended the event—making it the biggest year yet! In addition to the 5k, community partners attended the event to educate employees and their families on healthier habits, new ways to exercise and provide healthy samples.
“Many employees used the Keep Your Resolution 5k as their jump start to living a more active lifestyle,” Mohn said. “It was great to see so many employees and their family’s participating and contributing to others less fortunate in the local community.”
