At Ingersoll Rand, a world leader in creating comfortable, sustainable and efficient environments, we believe that a healthy company starts with healthy employees. One fundamental piece to your total well-being is maintaining a healthy weight. Here’s what one of our sites is doing to help their employees keep their weight loss goals in 2017:
Wellness champion and Occupational Nurse at the Tyler, TX plant, Sh’Angela Glenn, challenged her employees to join Fit City Tyler’s Lighten Up East Texas weight loss challenge.
Participants are challenged to lose at least five percent of their weight from Jan. to May. At the end of March, 104 employees weighed in to see their progress so far; the team has lost 518.7 pounds, or 2.41 percent, with a little over a month to go!
“I am so proud of the Tyler employees for their efforts with losing weight and living a healthy life; the motivation was seen from all that participated,” Glenn said. “We are so proud to be part of the Lighten Up East Texas Challenge, and all support the efforts of Health Progress and Tyler Fit City for providing programs that support healthy living.”
Keep up the great work and finish strong!
