Ingersoll Rand is participating in Virgin Pulse’s Global Challenge. This challenge lasts 100 days and encourages employees and their spouses to be active by tracking steps walked, miles biked and yards swam. 11,382 Ingersoll Rand employees joined the challenge from 21 different countries.
So far they have traveled 1,180,991 miles and are averaging over 11,000 steps daily —that equates to burning off the calories from 249.456 burgers…wow!
To keep up the encouragement, in May, Ingersoll Rand celebrated its first-ever companywide Global Health Progress Day. The goal of Global Health Progress Day was to inspire Ingersoll Rand employees around the world to get moving! Our locations around the globe shared their creative takes on incorporating more movement into the work day. Examples included: group walks, fitness breaks and campaigns to take the stairs. Of course plenty of healthy snacks were provided for re-fueling.
