In early May, the Atlanta Green Team partnered with Habitat for Humanity to build a home for Permercial, a single mom with three children. On Saturday morning, nine employees from Atlanta Trane showed up at 7:30 a.m. and worked until nearly 4 p.m. constructing the exterior and interior walls of the home located in the West End neighborhood south of Atlanta. Permercial works as a delivery driver for FedEx and was working right alongside the nearly 40 volunteers to build her own home. She has been volunteering with Habitat since 2014 to earn enough sweat equity to qualify for a Habitat home. In the next year, she will continue her sweat equity for an additional 250 hours helping other Habitat home recipients build their homes.
Thank you to all the Trane volunteers on this Atlanta build. The day was rewarding and will be remembered by all involved.
