Ministry of Environmental Protection Officials Visit China Plants

SHANGHAI, CHINA (INGERSOLL RAND NEWS SERVICE) -- Climate Solutions' Trane plant in Taicang and Security Technologies' Fuhsing plant in Jiading were visited recently by officials from China's Ministry of Environmental Protection (MOEP).

On September 15, Chen Yanping, director of the General Office and Internal Services Bureau, and directors Xu Quanwen and Lu Bin were given overviews and tours of the labs, workshops and production lines of both facilities. The high value-added services and solutions provided by Ingersoll Rand reportedly left deep positive impressions on all three officials. Director Chen Yanping mentioned during the Fuhsing plant visit that Schlage products will be displayed in MOEP’s building showcase.

As part of our strong commitment to saving energy, protecting the environment and promoting green building, in 2007 Ingersoll Rand China established a long-term strategic partnership with MOEP. As an essential part of this partnership, Ingersoll Rand China actively participated in the construction of MOEP's center for compliance with international environmental conventions, which features a Trane HVAC system and full-range of solutions from Security Technologies.

The plant visits not only increased the officials’ awareness of Ingersoll Rand’s services and business operations, but also built a sound foundation for further extending the strategic partnership between both organizations, as well as exploring future business opportunities.
