Duzce Plant's EHS Benchmarked

DUZCE, TURKEY (INGERSOLL RAND NEWS SERVICE) -- Environment, Health and Safety (EHS), Quality, Human Resources, Security and Fire professionals from the Hayat Group, a well-known company in Turkey and surrounding countries, recently visited the Security Technologies plant in Duzce, Turkey. The purpose of the visit was to learn about the world-class EHS practices implemented there. Tayfun Akusta, EHS and Lean Six Sigma site lead, was the host for the visit and presented an overview of the plant's EHS activities.  A plant tour followed the presentations.

“It was a very good opportunity for us to share our best practices with professionals from a well-respected company in Turkey,” said Akusta. “Hayat has a proven safety program and we had the chance to hear about its practices. We are going to schedule a visit to one of its facilities soon.”

“The fact that they chose Ingersoll Rand for a benchmarking visit shows that we are a leading company, with world-class initiatives in EHS in our community,” added Plant Manager Charles Çağatay Guler.

Hayat Group primarily operates in the chemicals, hygienic products, paper and wood-based industries. It has plants in number of different cities in Turkey and several European countries.
