CHICAGO, IL (INGERSOLL RAND NEWS SERVICE) -- In recognition of its pioneering fire and life safety innovations and unique insight into emerging technologies and market requirements, Security Technologies was invited to address the recent National Association of State Fire Marshals (NASFM) conference in Chicago, IL. The membership of NASFM is responsible for U.S. fire safety code adoption and enforcement, and includes the most senior fire officials in the country.
Forty State Fire Marshals and other attendees heard Kurt Roeper, director – codes & standards of Security Technologies, speak on the topic of “Egress Technology to Address Human Behavior in Fires.”
“The National Association of State Fire Marshals is a key constituent in developing and enforcing the life safety and building codes which govern our markets and public environments, such as hospitals, schools and commercial buildings,” said Roeper. “It is an honor for Ingersoll Rand to be recognized by this group and invited to speak at their conference.”
At an accompanying exhibition, the Fire Marshals were shown the latest in Security Technologies' access and egress control technologies, including wireless and biometric solutions, by Roeper and G.R. Zechman of the sector's Chicago sales office.
