Ingersoll Rand Chairman and CEO Mike Lamach on CNBC's "Closing Bell"

How do you capitalize on an opportunity to ring the Closing Bell of the New York Stock Exchange? You sit down for an interview with broadcast media giant CNBC!

That’s just what CEO Mike Lamach did while in New York to ring the NYSE Closing Bell in honor of the Thermo King and Trane anniversaries. (Read more about the NYSE bell ringing event.)

Just before U.S. market close on Monday, April 29, Mike sat down with CNBC "Closing Bell" anchors, Maria Bartiromo and Bill Griffeth for a live broadcast interview, which touched on everything from Ingersoll Rand’s rich legacy and brand anniversaries to the security spin-off and our forecast for the year.

"We've had a little thinner top-line than we expected, but the operating capability and execution of the company has become markedly better, so we’re able to, in essence, have very high incremental margins over the last six quarters," Mike told anchor Bill Griffeth.
