Club Car Goes to Camp for Children with Cancer for the 15th Year

Recently, 9 Club Car employees spent an evening participating in an ice cream social and glow in the dark putt putt at Camp Rainbow, a camp for children with cancer located in Rutledge, Ga. Club Car has been a supporter of the Camp since 1998 with more than 120 employees dedicated their time serving ice cream, dancing with the kids, playing games and handling out prizes.

Camp Rainbow's mission is to allow kids with cancer to be kids and employees comment on how laughter can be heard as soon as you arrive. Club Car's Community involvement with Camp Rainbow/ Georgia's Children's Medical Center began in 1998 with participation at Camp, fundraisers, toy drives, phone banks participation and donation of monetary gifts. Trish Yount , Aftermarket Operations Manager, Charity Champion has taken Club Car associates for the last 15 years and says there is never been a problem finding employees willing to volunteer their time. "Spend some time in the presence of the kids and you are forever changed," says Yount.
