Ingersoll Rand Makes Corporate Responsibility Magazine’s List of Top 100 Best Corporate Citizens

For the fourth consecutive year, Corporate Responsibility Magazine has named Ingersoll Rand as one of the publication’s top 100 Corporate Citizens. The annual list documents 260 data points of disclosure and performance measures harvested from publicly available information in seven categories: environment, climate change, employee relations, human rights, governance, finance, and philanthropy and community support.

“Ingersoll Rand is committed to improving all aspects of sustainability – business, social and environmental – with the goal of creating long-term value for our people, our customers and the communities in which we live and work,” said Michael W. Lamach, chairman and chief executive officer of Ingersoll Rand. “Achieving placement on the 100 Best Corporate Citizens List for the fourth year in a row is a humbling honor, and we are pleased to again be recognized for transparent and responsible business practices.”

The list was first published in 1999 in Business Ethics Magazine and has been managed by CR Magazine since 2007. To compile the list, every company in the Russell 1000 – the highest ranked stocks in the Russell 3000 Index of publicly held U.S. companies – is ranked according to 260 data points. The methodology for generating the list is governed by the Ratings and Rankings Thought Leadership Council of the Corporate Responsibility Association (CRA).

“CR Magazine is proud to present the only ranking list that doesn’t rely on self-reporting,” said Elliot Clark, CEO of CR Magazine. “Each year, the 100 Best Corporate Citizens List measures the success of the corporate responsibility movement by celebrating the most successful, most transparent companies who report on their responsible practices. We congratulate those honored on this year’s list for their commitment to corporate responsibility.”
